This Genetic Data Privacy Notice explains how NYC DNA TESTING OF THE BRONX LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles DNA-testing-related information in connection with services offered through nycdnatesting.nyc (the “Website”).

- signed authorization forms,
- parent or guardian authorization for minors,
- chain-of-custody or similar documentation,

We reserve the right to delay, deny, or cancel services if required information or documentation is not provided.

We do not sell genetic data or DNA-testing-related information.

- provide requested services,
- coordinate with specimen collectors, collection sites, and laboratories,
- communicate with clients, participants, or authorized representatives,
- release results or service information to persons authorized to receive it,
- comply with court orders, subpoenas, legal process, or other lawful obligations,
- respond to government or regulatory requirements,
- protect safety, rights, records, service integrity, or business operations where permitted by law, and
- support billing, administration, legal, accounting, or professional service functions.
6. Access to Results and Testing Records
Access to testing-related records and results may be limited to:
- the tested adult individual,
- a parent or legal guardian where applicable,
- a legally authorized representative,
- a person authorized in writing,
- a court, agency, laboratory, or other party legally entitled to receive the information, or
- other persons as permitted or required by law.
We may require identity verification or documentation before releasing records or results.
7. Minors
If a requested service involves a minor, a parent or legal guardian may be required to authorize the service and provide documentation showing authority to consent.
We reserve the right to refuse or delay services involving minors if appropriate authorization is not provided.
8. Retention of Testing-Related Information
We may retain testing-related information for as long as reasonably necessary for:
- service administration,
- recordkeeping,
- client communication,
- legal compliance,
- dispute resolution,
- quality assurance,
- business operations, and
- enforcement of our policies and agreements.

However, no method of transmission, storage, or security is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Website Inquiries Are Not Formal Testing Consent
Submitting a form, contacting us through the Website, or requesting an appointment does not by itself constitute formal informed consent to DNA testing.
Separate consent forms, identification documents, authorizations, specimen collection procedures, and related service documentation may be required before testing can proceed or results can be released.
11. Third-Party Laboratories and Service Providers
In order to provide requested services, we may work with third-party laboratories, specimen collectors, collection sites, administrative vendors, payment processors, and other service providers.
We are not responsible for the independent policies or practices of third parties except as required by law. However, we may share testing-related information with such parties where reasonably necessary to coordinate and provide requested services.
12. No Sale of Genetic Data
We do not sell genetic data, DNA samples, or DNA-testing-related information.
